The theme for 2025 is “Short of Breath, Think COPD.” focussing on diagnosis however it is also important to highlight the burden of Acute Exacerbation of COPD (aeCOPD).
ICU admissions for aeCOPD can be up to 19% with a mortality of up to 40%.
