Maria Alquist

Dr. Maria Alquist, MD, has a Specialist Degree in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, and was awarded Best Swedish Nephrologist at specialist examination. She is Six Sigma Black Belt by American Society of Quality and has Executive Leadership and Management Training, including Levinson Institute, Harvard. 

Maria has extensive working experience in global kidney care and dialysis industry. She held leading positions as VP Global Medical & Scientific, Senior Medical Director R&D and Medical Safety at Gambro AB, heading Clinical Process Research within dialysis and healthcare operations, and was Senior Medical Director Global Renal Therapeutic Area at Baxter.

Currently Maria serves as expert in committees within the Life Science/Medtech area of the Foundation for Strategic Research in Sweden, which annually grants about one billion SEK to research within natural sciences, technology and medicine. Additionally, she is Medical Officer & CEO at RenQMed AB providing consultancy services within MedTech/Life Science, and works clinically as Senior Nephrologist.
